To set the standard for safe and structured sober living, and to create an environment where men and women can get their lives back by progressing from their disease into lasting recovery.
We want to touch more lives through focused growth, and to help break the stigma of recovery through honest public education.

To build one of the most active and influential alumni networks in the country, restoring lives, reuniting families, building careers, and strengthening relationships long after someone leaves the house.
Why structure
Early recovery is fragile. Good intentions aren't enough on their own. What keeps people sober is a steady framework: a safe home, a daily routine, clear expectations, and people who hold you to them.
That's the whole idea behind Marin House. We're a Christian-based home, and residents are encouraged to work an established 12-step program, find a sponsor, and stay engaged in their recovery. Trust and freedom are earned over time, and milestones are celebrated. The structure isn't there to control people. It's there to give them something solid to build on.
